Photoshoot Behind the Scenes with Doriana Riosa Photography

This past week I was lucky to shoot with Doriana Riosa in Delray Beach. We had grand plans for some long exposure shots of belly dance but Mother Nature had other intentions. Regardless, we got a beautiful moody sunset which I think showcased my new amber costume perfectly. To me it is a perfect portrait of Autumn and Mabon. A perfect balance of Light and Dark. Though we will surrender the the god of winter, our internal light let's us know the god of spring is ever renewing and lasting. Though the veil between our worlds will almost disappear by Samhain and we will enter the darkest of the seasons we will also enter the beginning of the Festivals of Light, Diwali, Hanukkah, Yule, Christmas. Embrace this time for reflection and introspection. Come out renewed like the plants that only appear dead but rise from the ground every spring.
